Retaining Walls

Retaining walls can provide added outdoor appeal to your home and increase usability of sloped backyards.

Project-2-b

As you can see from the photo above, retaining walls don’t have to be a series of blocks in a straight line to hold back the soil. They can be creative, transforming a tired slope of soil into a collection of rocks and plantings that attract attention and provide that wow factor.

A retaining wall can consist of many different types of stone. Choosing the right material to the job (hold back the soil) is of course the most critical factor to consider. Other factors include how the stone color and texture fits the into the surrounding landscape. Equally important is how the retaining wall matched the design of your home.

If you are considering building a retaining wall, give us a call to discuss your project. We will talk through the options and how the various materials could impact the cost.
